Some interview processes can be so intricate that they make future employees feel like they have no room to ask questions. Or that they should be grateful to even receive the job offer. The truth is every person should interview their employer to ensure they are a great fit for the company. Being a good fit is the only way you know you will be successful in your role. - “Do you track employee satisfaction?” And if they do; “What is the overall trend?”
Why ask: If they track employee satisfaction, it means you are going into an organization that cares about their employees. Even if the trends are demonstrating that they are dipping in satisfaction, sometimes dipping satisfaction is better than an org that doesn’t track it at all. If they don’t track employee satisfaction, it might be good to see if they plan on tracking or if it’s not even in their peripheral. If they do track it, but the person you are asking can’t tell you what their employee satisfaction looks like, it means not enough importance is placed on this survey, which is also worrisome. - “What do performance reviews you look like and how are raises given?”
